Obtained his bachelor’s degree in actuary at the faculty of sciences at UNAM, his master’s degree in economics at El Colegio de Mexico and his master’s degree in mathematics at the Courant Institute of New York University.
He has worked as an operator in underlying assets derived from interest rates and change rate at Grupo Financiero Invex and, since 2008, is in charge of BBVA Bancomer’s volatility group operation portfolios .

He has given courses of mathematics, economics and finance to graduates and undergraduates in universities such as Universidad Panamericana, El Colegio de México, Universidad Anáhuac, UNAM and to the company RiskMathics.
He has taught in courses to undergraduates at the faculty of sciences since 1997; first as an associate professor, and gaining his tenure in 2005. He has specialized in the subject of underlying financial assets.
Until now, he has directed four certification thesis, all related to finance and coordinated the work team in charge of reforming the financial subjects in the new study plan (2015).
